my 2011 Top 10 Sexiest People

I am telling you, this is the official list. After I finish this post, I am going to meet with the Council of Sexyness and present this so they can re-evaluate those lists of sexiest people that has been released already, and declare them null and void. Ito ang katotohanan, mga kapatid! Believe it or perish!!! Mwahahahaa

SEXY for me does not only pertain to the mala-bote-ng-coke shape of the bodeeeh for women and 6-pack na pak abs and wow-ulam biceps for men. My definition of SEXY includes those people who are beautiful, sweet, kind-hearted, intelligent, talented, and inspiring for the way they live their respective lives or for the way they have influenced mine. :) Some of us may have been blessed by layers of bilbil instead of 36-24-36 vital statistics, but nobody has the right to tell us that we are not sexy, because we are! Now put that sexy smile on your face and strut that sexy attitude of yours. ;)

10. Ace Ricafort

Sorry to tell you, my friend, that it's not your abs nor your biceps that helped you make it to the official list of top ten sexiest. You still have a lot of weights to lift, bud! :D This guy's utak may be the greenest of greens, but a very sexy utak, still. He has already proven himself as a smartass, graduating valedictorian of our highschool and a cum laude during college. Now being molded to be a bigtime in the banking industry while having another job as a DJ on Energy FM during weekends, he has again proven himself to be a go-getter, and also a breadwinner of his family. Oh, and in between jobs, he has managed to maintain an active social life. You na!! Dahil diyan, ang sexy mo, brotha!

9. Ms. Del

Making it to my sexy list is my lady boss, Ms. Del. This is not to make sipsip or anything, but I hope to get a raise! Haha. I once said that when I become boss, gusto ko papasok lang ako sa office to sign my pang-mayamang name in documents that need to be signed, issue cheques, read the papers and give my most-wanted opinion on the latest wazzappenings in town, tapos uwi ng maaga to my three-storey mansion in Forbes Park. Hehe sarap ng buhay. Ms. Del is not that kind of bossing. Most mornings, she arrives earlier than the rest of us and really works on lots of things the rest of the day, Monday to Friday! Yes, not your typical peteks boss! Sure, she can be makulit, makulit, makulit and bossy (boss naman siya talaga hehe), but she has a wonderful heart. Because it's a heart that is overflowing with love for God. She's been helping us get to know God's greatness even more through His Words. I think that's so kind and sexy of her. :)

8. Myself

Maybe if I was just given the chance to name myself the day I was born, I would have baptized myself, SEXY RODIL. Please don't roll your eyes, haha! You might be saying that it's so kapal of me to include myself in my sexy list, but really, nasesexy-han ako sa sarili ko. Confidence is sexy, right? :D I may be a lot of things, but I try to be a good person, you know. I appreciate the little things in life. I cherish the people who matter to me, I let them know that I love them. I live within my means. I dream big realistic dreams. I look at life with smiling eyes and I face challenges with a hopeful heart, and silly jokes on the side. At bukod sa sexy, ang humble ko pa! You see, I could have made myself number 1 in this list, but I didn't! HAHAHA! Okay lang ba yung smile ko sa picture? :)))

7. Adam Levine

Oooh la la! I never thought that there will come a day that my love for sexyback Justin Timberlake will be put to test. NEVER, until this literal na seksing nilalang named Adam Levine started confusing my heart. Wow, getting hot in here. Is the word SEXY invented specifically to describe this man? If you're gonna ask me what's sexy about him, my answer is 'What is NOT sexy about Adam my Lovin, McMuffin?' Seriously?! That body, those eyes, that bigote, even those tattoos na hindi ko gets, homaygad, I die. And that voice, that voice!! I even set his version of Bill Withers' Lovely Day my alarm tone every morning,that sometimes I find myself saying, "Eto na babe, babangon na." with a stupid smile on my face. This sexy guy has an equally sexy VS model girlfriend named Anna Vyalitsyna. Hirap basahin ng pangalan niya noh, kaya ako, I call her ANNA BRUHILDA na lang. :DDD

6. Nanay Saning

Move over FHM's sexiest Sam Pinto and all you long-legged Victoria's Secret angels na mga walang puson (leche)! 'Coz my super super sexy abuela is here and she's gonna kick all those tight sexy derrieres of yours! I've heard several times from my dad and uncles, stories of Nanay's kasungitan while they were growing up. I guess the hangin habagat has reversed its direction. Who we have now is a very patient and loving lola who laughs merrily at our jokes, prays everyday for the family's health and safety, sings and dances gracefully to Willie Revillame's hit songs and does the Korean pose like she just turned sixteen. To all single lolos out there, my lola is one cool chic. :))) It wasn't an easy year for her and for our family who witnessed her lying in a hospital bed for a couple of weeks because of several complications from diabetes and high-blood pressure. To me, one of the things that make her so sexy is her being a fighter. You would feel that she still wants to live, to be with us. She's been taking a looooot of medicines, including a shot of insulin everyday since she's been out of the hospital, but she's a whole lot better now. It's something our family is so thankful to God for, every single day. :)

5. Patty Laurel

Visiting her blog is like getting a daily dose of positivity. You get high on her cute and really funny stories about life, love and friendship. I am also always so hooked up with her travel stories. This sexy woman has experienced a lot of cultures all around the globe, which makes my laway kinda drip a little, 'coz I'd love to do that too! Being an avid reader of her blog, I could say that she is a loyal friend, a sweet girlfriend, an amazing teacher and a wonderful daughter, among other traits that make her so sexy! She's a totally inspiring person. :)

4. Michelle Fidel

Michy, as I call her, is my partner in kalokahan. She's the first person that comes to mind when I have free movie tickets, when I feel like pigging out, or when there are hot guys sa paligid at kailangan ko ng mapapagshare-an ng kilig. With her, I can rant about my nonexistent love life, grunt about how stressful work can be, or laugh like a hyena about something I find so hilarious. Vise versa. :) Together with our other lukaret kumare's, we dream of discovering all the wonders of the Philippines, and later, of the entire world! She's one of the few people I trust the most, that friend to whom I can confidently hand over my brains when I can't make sound decisions for myself 'Here, please think muna for me.'. I count myself blessed for having a sexy friend like her around. :) Ehem, yakimix, eheeem!


3. my pamangkins - Dwayne, Yuel, Jude & Kiel

The sexiest kids on earth. Dwayne is 3, his brother Jude is 1, while brothers Yuel and Kiel are 2, and 7 month old, respectively. Some people have to learn about family planning, huh? Hehe, but these kids are such blessings in our family because of the joy they bring. Even if they are growing up to be the brattiest of the brats and even if they wake me up early in the morning with a poke in the eye, I love them to the ends of their little toenails. They are my favorite kakwentuhan these days because they say and do the funniest things without meaning to. Their innocence and immaturity is refreshing. There are times when I'd pray "Lord, deliver me from kids' tantrums and their poopoo." but then I'd realize that they are kids and it's their nature to throw tantrums, cry when they are upset or pee on their shorts, sometimes on your leg. There are days when Dwayne is my favorite because he would tell me I'm 'ganda'. Then Yuel will charm us all when he dances to the tune of kendeng-kendeng. Jude only had to do that hearthrob smile of his, showing his two front teeth and I'd be captivated. And little Kiel, oh our Kiellogs, he would press his warm cheek to yours like it's his happy place. Asking me who my most favorite of them all will only give me migraine of the worst kind. :)


2. Mama & Papa

Aside from the obvious fact that this blog is mine (hihi), I have probably made it to this sexy list because I have sexy genes, which come from my sexy parents! :) I always find myself in awe of Mama and Papa's kindness. Unlimited, as in! At my age, I still find myself calling Mama when I feel sick and very weak to take care of myself. When there's flying ipis in my room, I still squeal a loud 'Papa!', for rescue. I may be living independently for most days of the week, but I'd always come home to the loving arms of my parents. The friendship they have built over the years is also one of the many things I admire about them. On weekends, Papa would rather stay at home watching TV or make tsismisan with Mama, than go out for a drink and make tsismisan with other tatays. :D Mama will always be the first to laugh at Papa's jokes and the first to cheer him up when work is upsetting him. Maybe now you'll understand my objection on Pareng Brad and Kumars Angie as the sexiest couple on earth. Because the sexiest couple I know is not in Hollywood making movies. They are at our home making fun of each other's hearing defect. Such sweet love. ♥


1. GOD

And now, to the ULTIMATE SEXIEST, who carefully and meticulously put together all these sexy people in my life, a ginormous Thank You is in order. I hope God won't mind me calling Him sexy. hehe. When it's God, SEXY equals ALMIGHTY. This description applies to Him, only. :) Okay, serious! My everyday prayer to God goes something like this, 'Basta alam mo naman po 'yung mga mahalaga sa akin. Ikaw na po bahala.' Parang prayer ng tinatamad lang. hehe. But really, He is amazing like that. He knows my heart, even better than I do. I have asked from so many things from Him. Some prayers He answered right away, some He didn't, maybe just not yet, I am not certain. I just know that He's got every single line and curve in my life, in place from the very start. I don't always understand things in this life or how life itself works. But I find comfort and confidence in the simple saying 'Let God.'. That's why I can smile sweetly and laugh like crazy, because I know that whatever happens, I have Him at my side always. And that despite the bilbils, the stubbornness, the temper, and a thousand other shortcomings, God still thinks I'm beautiful, and sexy, and worthy of His love.

Part 3: camiguin - cagayan de oro - BUKIDNON

Wait, there's definitely more from our Mindanao adventure!

Bukidnon can be reached via 2-hour land travel from CDO. Our package from Kagay includes 3-zipline rides and van transfer to and from Bukidnon Dahilayan Adventure Park. :)

Get strapped and fly fly fly! Love the cold weather that day. Even with the fog, I could tell that the view underneath was really gorgeous.

Dahilayan is said to have the longest dual zipline in Asia. Oha oha! 840 meters lang naman mga dude! Sa sobrang haba, mapapa-reflect ka about your life, your future plans, pati past keri mo pang mabalikan! I was able to take a video of myself the whole time I was flying that 840-meter distance. Here!



Zorbit time! I also saw KC did this in the movie. Looked so fun, I had to try it too! Sorry sa ingay, I felt like I just really had to show you guys one of my uhmm, many talents? SCREAMING! I'm quite good at it, I tell you. :D Nani, being equally excited about rides like I always am, is again my partner on this. :)



Ace and Keps' turn on the big ball of fun. In fairness, nakakabingi din si Asiong! This is how the ball looks like while it rolls the down the slope. Imagine kung nasuka ang isa sa amin while pinapaikot-ikot ang bola. . . ay wag na pala, don't imagine! Yaaaak eewweeee why did that even come to mind?!



After having our lunch, we got ready for our trip back to CDO airport. Uwian time. :( We were worried that we were going to be late for our flight because we got stuck in traffic somewhere in CDO. Because most of us were already maxed out and could no longer afford an expensive fare para makauwi, we thought of jobs we can take if in case we really miss our flight. The best we came up with was to sell our pampasalubong na mga pastels sa airport! Haha. Turned out we were still early. Hoooh, whatta relief! May maiuuwi pa din akong pastel sa nanay ko! We were transferred to an earlier flight, but the plane is delayed pa din by more than an hour. Nag-manicure-an na lang kami sa airport. Even Reymund nakisali, nabading na yata, kalerke! :D

Ria was able to put exactly into words how I felt about this trip and about my friends. In one of her posts, she said "They're my high school friends. With them, I can be downright bitchy and curse as much as I want to, but they'll still accept me for that because we're basically the same. HAHA!"

I trulalooo love each and every one of them. Til our next trip! :)

I would like to take this opportunity to offer a prayer to those families suffering in Mindanao. It's heartbreaking what's happening right now in Cagayan de Oro, Iligan and other areas greatly affected by typhoon Sendong. So many lives taken, properties destroyed and people still missing. My sincerest prayers for all of them.

Part 2: camiguin-CAGAYAN DE ORO-bukidnon

After our short visit at Camiguin, we had to endure again that 4-hour byahe back to CDO. Here's how we always are when brought together, within 2 feet of each other. You might want to keep that volume of yours down. :D

Merry Christmas from all of us! I know what you're thinking. Pang-station ID, right? As in LRT Balintawak STATION ID! Very palengke lang. Bili kayo, kamatis, talong. Okra, sibuyas ochenta per kilo. Isda, isda sariwa! :D

At around 12:30, we were at Mindy's restaurant for an eat-all-you-can lunch. Afterwards, we checked in at New Dawn Pensionne. Php 1,080 per Superior Room, good for 3 pax na. Spacious rooms and clean toilets, strongly recommended for budget travellers. :)

Eto na ang pinaka-rurok of our trip - White Water Rafting! The guys from Kagay picked us up at New Dawn. It was a more or less 45-minute jeepney ride to the starting point of rafting. Along the way, the guys also had to load the boats we were going to use. The water looked murky, medyo nag-uulan kasi that morning.

We had several instructions before we braved the river, only we didn't get much of them because this was what we were doing while Kuya Aries of Kagay was talking.

I guess what most of us only picked up from all the instructions given were: High Five (rafters raise their paddles for a "toast" after getting past a rapid successfully, or in our case, whenever and wherever we feel like doing it :D); Forward paddle & Back paddle; If in case, we fall from the boat, to remember which is the river right & river left; and the most important thing: Don't panic! (which we forgot about even before we got to the first rapid haha)

As we were being given final reminders before we all rode the boat:

Kagay: Guys, don't let go of the T-grip, okay?

Allen: Ano 'yung T-grip?

Patay kang bata ka.

Then the rafting began!

Ate Matet, one of the guides assigned to our group is bongga! If you guys have watched that Sam Milby-KC Concepcion movie, Forever and A Day, siya ang double ni KC in that scene where she fell to the river dahil sa kagagawan ng character ni Sam Milby. PS, mamamatay si KC sa movie. Pero not because of rafting ha!

All of the 14 rapids have names which your lola can no longer recall. I don't know how to tell you how exhilarating, overpowering, exciting, energizing, thrilling, titillating, intensifying (running out of adjectives now!) that adventure was. I'll let these photos do the talking. :)

The rafting experience lasted for almost 3 hours. Sobrang sarap-saya lang! I definitely wanna do it again. :)

We were brought back to New Dawn by the guys from Kagay. Went to a nearby Vandep store to buy pasalubong. Not going home without that yummy pastel!!

We had dinner at Bourbon St., a nice cozy restaurant at CDO town proper.

Later that night, we went to Whatever KTV and sang like our throats and vocal chords weren't exercised enough from screaming all day. :)
