Preach it,
Khloe!!!
FACT. In this
life, there will really be that person who just get into your nerves.
That person you can't stand being in the same room with for more than two
minutes. That person who you want to grab a handful of hair and give to
your mangkukulam na kapitbahay. :p You try to be a good person and give a
try liking him/her, but for some unfathomable reason, you simply can't!
There's just really those people na hindi mo ka-zodiac sign, let's leave it at
that.
Khloe Kardashian might
have found the most practical way on how to deal with people na hindi mo ka-zodiac-sign -
RESPECT. Before, Khloe to me was the bitchiest, funniest, loudest, spunkiest
and probably the most difficult to keep up with in the Kardashian household.
She has a strong opinion on everything. She speaks her mind, and trust her to hold
nothing back.
When I read this tweet of hers, I started seeing her in a different light. I've also watched her interview on Ellen and how she talked about her support for anti-bullying. My respect for her just went several levels higher. The things she say make a lot of sense! You could say she's now my favorite Kardashian. :)
My girlie Khloe here said,
people are different. That's a universal truth. We are cut out differently, born and raised
to different values, have different styles, respond differently to various things and
situations. This is why disagreements and misunderstandings happen.
They are unavoidable - at the workplace, at home, in schools, at supermarkets,
dry market, wet market, market market, everywhere!
When I was a little
girl, my knowledge of respect is limited to the use of 'po' and 'opo' when
answering to elders, kissing their hands, saying Excuse Me, Please,
Sorry, and Thank You when the occasion calls for it. As I
grow older, I realized that there's more to it than just that.
When you're pissed
off with your know-it-all bossier than the bossiest employer, telling him to
"Go to hell po please" does not make you respectful. Not even
adding a 'Take care po!' with a smile. ;p I guess "Go to hell" really just
don't have a respectful version.
God didn't make this
world solely for you. It's made for sharing with people who do not exactly
think, speak and act like you do. We can't make everyone agree to what we
strongly believe in, in the same way some people can not convince us to change
the way we see things. Differences shouldn't make us enemies. When
someone expresses his twisted opinion about homosexuals or of Lady Gaga's
music, you calling him a narrow-minded bastard does not put you on the
right. That's his opinion, this is yours. Respect it.
Respect even if you
disagree. Be straightforward, if
that's your thing, but keep an open mind, and be respectful, if you also want to
be respected. At the end of the day, knowing you treated every single person (nice or not so nice), respectfully might make sleeping much sweeter for you. :) After all, we
aim for world peace, right? \m/
