making dalaw Davao DAY 4 (Maxima Resort & Zip City)

Last day na of our vacay at tight ang schedule.  We had complimentary breakfast, by the beach again.  I have to commend Kuya Marlon, the waiter assigned to us, for the kindness and patience we were shown. Naka-100 times na 'Salamat Kuya Marlon' yata kami. :)

We were to visit Hagimit Falls and Maxima Beach Resort.  To get there, we had to endure the terrifying habal-habal ride.  I am all for adventure but this one really frightened me.  The moment I get on the motorcycle that was to run on a steep uphill uncemented road, it came to me that I signed a waiver on behalf of all of us which stated that the resort was not  to be held liable for anything that might happen to us beyond their premises.  Eh kasi naman, buwis-buhay naman talaga pala sa daan.  Dami kong naidasal sa byahe ah!

After kami maiahon isa-isa sa lubak, we shared motorcycles na and thank God sementado na ang daan.  Haaay :)  We stopped for a little while for picture-taking atop a cliff overlooking the beautiful island of Samal.

We did not stay long at Hagimit, we just took lots of photos.

Just a few minutes away from Hagimit was Maxima Aqua Fun where the giant slide was!  Everyone tried it.  I was the first one to do it so I got to see their funny faces up in the air then into the waters.  Lotsa fun, masakit lang sa balakang. :)  Will upload vid before 2015, na kay Carlita pa, kalerks. :D

We could not stay long at Maxima either because we had to catch up with the Hof Gorei boat leaving at 1PM for the city.  Habal-habal ride was more tolerable on our way back.

We said our goodbyes to Madamme and sailed back to the city where Kuya Jessie was again waiting for us.  He drove us to McDo dahil sabik na sabik kami sa fastfood na mura at malaki ang serving!  Big 'N Tasty please, upsize everything, todo as in.  :)

He then brought us to Zip City, tickets were included in the rafting package.

We requested for Kuya Jessie to take us again to Apo Ni Lola kase pinapak na namin ang mga dapat na pampasalubong.  On our way to the airport, we also stopped to buy suha which tasted like no other suha I've eaten.  :)

Awwww, uwian na talaga. :(  At the check-in counter, may acting na naman naganap starring Alyssa and Ace.  Alyssa had to be our other friend 'Allen' (in absentia), para makasabay namin sya pauwi.  Hihi.  Wag kami tutularan ever!

What a pleasant surprise to see two of our highschool classmates who came to Davao with their families.  Hey Joselle and Justine! :)

And that's that, we're back to being grownups.  It's evident how much fun I always have being with these people.  Together, we can be those immature highschool students again when not much of this world worried us.  We are now faced with various challenges from work, home, school, love, yada yada yada so excuse us if for a few days, we'd want to run away from them and just be kids again - crazy loud immature ones.  :D

I love Davao.  I love my friends even more.  'TIl our next! :)

making dalaw Davao DAY 3 (Hof Gorei Beach Resort)

Day 3 at Davao was the most chillaxed.  We did not have to wake up early nor did we have any planned activities that day except to get our pwets to Hof Gorei Beach Resort at Samal Island.

We hailed cabs to take us to Sta. Ana Wharf where Hof Gorei's boat was set to leave at exactly 11AM, with other visitors of the resort.  It took an hour to get to Hof Gorei.

Refreshing drinks were waiting for us upon arrival.  The resort promises a quiet and peaceful stay.

The Buddy House that we opted for was really lovely!  It's perfect for a big group like us.  It comes with a television and an air-conditioning unit.  We requested for lunch first since we were all starving.  Medyo namilog lang mga mata namin at napa $#T@$%@% ng malutong dahil may kamahalan ang everything sa menu.  Natagalan din sa pagserve but in fairness, ang sarap naman.  We decided to take a nap after having late lunch.  Buhay donya (on a tight budget)! hehe

After siesta, that's when we decided to explore the resort.  We discovered that there was a caged sawa beside the buddy house and ducks duck-walking freely around the resort.  The pool did not look infinite to me as their site claimed, but still very nice.  They ought to set up more lights siguro sa resort para masarap mag-night swimming.  They also have a jacuzzi located at the owner's home a few hundred steps away.  Too bad it was not tidied that day.  Dami reklamo o! ;p

Dinner that night was by the beach.  Ang sarap ulit pero ang mahal na naman syempre.  There's not much choice since there were no other restaurants nearby.  Todo asikaso and chika naman ang owner na si Madamme! :)  Plus we've got each other, and that's what counts.  Naaaks.
