Happy Father's Day sa tatay mo na katulong ng nanay mo sa paggawa sayo. :) No, no, don't go there! Stop it, stop imagining you being processed!!! ;p

Back when I was in the 1st grade, an officemate of my mom asked me who my favorite was  - Mama or Papa.  I answered without preno 'Papa po!' while Mama was holding my hand. Imagine how tampo mama was. Hihi. Since then, I knew that the right answer to this question is 'Pareho po.' para everybody happy! Ask me today and this will make me so confused, I would need to seek help from TV Patrol to post this as poll question of the day. ;p

The reason I probably answered that way is because even at a young age, I noticed I'm so much like Papa. The round face, big eyes, brotsa for eyebrows, flat feet, short legs, and... get ready for this...  gazillion-dollar smile. Oh yeah, that. :) Physically, hindi maipagkakaila na mag-ama kami. But not only that, even our humor and temperament are at the same range probably.  I think we both are more comfortable cracking jokes than engaging in serious talks.  My being uncommunicative when I'm fumingly mad, I know where I got it from. hehe

I feel closest to Papa whenever the two of us drive around town, running errands.  There are times when I'd be the only one talking in the car, about anything and I get only walang kwentang responses from him like ahh or o.  But I know he listens well.  :) Sometimes, I'm his shock absorber when he rants about work and his pasaway employees (yes, dads rant too!).  There are also times when we're both not in the mood to talk, so we don't.  We just sit comfortably in silence or sing quietly to a 60s or 70s song being played in the radio on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Priceless moments :)

I am in awe of Papa's simplicity and sincerity.  I am so blessed with a father who adores his wife and his two daughters, otherwordly tantrums and all. Our family can't thank God  enough for giving us this beautiful man. :)
