good reads

11 books.  11 good books, some of them really really good.  I've never finished this many books in a span of 3 months. That was a first for me.  My blackberry made it possible for me to read wherever I am, whenever I wish.  I am thinking - if people are destined to marry a phone, maybe after 2 Nokia phones and 2 Sony Ericssons, I think I have finally found the one.  Bwahaha, that sounded too cheesy-robotic, I puke!

Today, I decided to be a book-rater, or whatever you call those people who rate books with a star/s, for a living.  I figured since I do not have any trips to talk about lately, I will just share - like it or not - the books that have kept my eyes glued to my phone, while I was stuck in traffic on the way home, or even while watching an actual volleyball game. ;p

Hunger Games trilogy by SUZANNE COLLINS

I had to read the books after watching the movie.  Special thanks to Miss for sending me the copies! :)  The movie was made as beautiful as the books were written.

A Thousand Splendid Suns by KHALED HOSSEINI

I recommend reading this book only when you are feeling perfectly fine and happy about your life as the intertwined story of two women from Afghanistan could get downright depressing.  But a good read still!

Love the One You're With by EMILY GIFFIN

If you want something just light sa dibdib. :)

Fifty Shades trilogy by E.L. JAMES

I had to understand what the buzz is all about, and I did when I read this erotic trilogy.  A little shocking, maybe.  Erotic, yeah really. Romantic.  Strictly for adults only.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad by ROBERT KIYOSAKI

I took my time reading this book.  It is very educational, enriching and realistic.  It made me think and completely changed my financial views maybe.

My Name is Memory by ANN BRASHARES

See previous post about how this book made me feel. :)

The Fault In Our Stars by JOHN GREEN
If the last book I read made me ngawa, this one is ngulngol-atungal level.  A beautifully written story of love between two young cancer patients.

Set me up on a date with other good books please. Suggestions? :)
